"American Gothic" by Grant Wood (1930)
American Gothic is a 1930 painting by Grant Wood, a character study of a man and a woman portrayed in front of a home. American Gothic is one of the most famous American paintings of the 20th century, and has been widely parodied in American popular culture. Wood was inspired to paint what is now known as the American Gothic House in Eldon, Iowa, along with "the kind of people [he] fancied should live in that house". It depicts a farmer standing beside his daughter – often mistakenly assumed to be his wife.

Framed Print: Ready-to-hang in a black wooden frame with perspex glaze, milled with simple clean lines and a satin finish for extra protection. Square profile frame measures 20mm. The size listed refers to the size of the glaze and does not include the width of the frame.
Canvas: Stretched canvas on a wooden frame with 38mm of depth. Finger jointed canvas frames create corner tension which helps to resist warping. For larger sizes, we add wooden ‘wedges’ to each corner. A "Mirror wrap" on the edges of the image is repeated on the sides with the entire image appearing on the front.
Acrylic: A frame-free wall art option, our scratch resistant acrylic glass is crystal clear with diamond polished edges giving stunning, luminous colours with brilliant depth giving a modern, contemporary look. It is shatter and scratch resistant, see photo of the hidden hanging system.
Note that size measurements are not precise due to metric/imperial conversions. Acrylic product are not available in 18x24 so 16x24 is used instead. Original artwork may be cropped to best fit available product sizes.

The print is very nice. I like the colors. Being new to Turned Art, I realize that I had expectations. I should have read the details better, my bad. When you purchase a print, it is just that, a print. Also, there is no frame included. $40 for the print was a lot. It was pretty, but didn't feel like art. I feel like the creator did an excellent job.
